CURRICULUM

La Citadelle International Academy of Arts & Science offers an efficient educational setting based on students centered classrooms, a limited number of students per classroom, more attention to individual students, experienced and devoted teachers and specialized facilities. With the serious teaching of English and French as a first language in conjunction with the teaching of a third language (Mandarin or Spanish) in a unique international setting and with the advanced bilingual teaching of sciences, mathematics, technological studies, liberal arts, arts, culture, character education and methods of study, the school foresees to having a strong and long lasting impact on the holistic development of the learner. The school curriculum promotes the balance of the arts and sciences in its pedagogy and strives to create a well-rounded learning process. 

The school consists of Three Divisions:


Kindergarten School Division
  - Pre-Kindergarten through Senior Kindergarten
Elementary School Division - Grade 1 through 7
Secondary School Division - Level I through V

La Citadelle's school curriculum is structured in accordance with the Ministry of Education's Guidelines and corresponds to the requirements of the  The International Baccalaureate (IB) . It promotes the arts and sciences in its pedagogy and strives to create a well-rounded learning process. It incorporates the following areas of study at every level:

Ø            Pure and Applied Sciences (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Technology)

Ø            Social Studies (Canadian and International History and Geography)

Ø            Arts, Drama and Music

Ø            Third Language (Mandarin or Spanish)
