SCHOOL STRUCTURE

The school's structure maximizes the learning potential of every one of its
students.  From as early as two and a half years old, children are able to begin
the real learning process.  With three years at the preschool level and seven at
the elementary level, children acquire solid skills and knowledge to start a
five years distinctively comprehensive secondary education that has been
customized to offer them a solid foundation to successfully pursue higher
learning and thrive in the most prominent universities around the world.

La Citadelle International Academy of Arts & Science is presently staffed with
38 full time and part-time teachers; it is managed by a Headmaster, a
Coordinator of Administrative Services, a Coordinator of Pedagogical Services,
an IB Coordinator, a Business Manager, an IT Coordinator, Marketing and Research
Coordinator, an Administrative Assistant and a Secretary. Teacher's credentials
range from certification from the Ontario College of Teachers, certification and
training from Montessori, graduate and post-graduate university degrees and
extensive teaching experience at all levels of the system of Education in Canada
and abroad.

La Citadelle has been planned and structured so as to provide students with the
most efficient and secure environment.  The school is in compliance with the
Building Code and the Fire Code and meets the requirements of the Health
protection and Promotion Act.  The school has a code of conduct for pupils and
staff and a general operational guideline.

The school year is officially divided into terms, two of which ends with formal
exams, followed by the submission of a formal Report Card to parents.
Internally, the school evaluates students' progress on a monthly basis by
issuing Interim Report cards and a monthly "Carnet de notes". Parent-teachers
interviews are usually schedules three times a year in conjunction with report
cards.  Parents are also encouraged to communicate with teachers to discuss the
progress of their child or children during the year.  Saturday Parent Forums are
also scheduled twice a year to bring about a better orientation of the school.
All parents and teachers are invited to attend.
